What we collect
Account information (name, email), profile details you provide (player name, age, position), training activity (videos watched, schedule items completed), and payment information processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Dreams Hockey is built for youth athletes. Accounts for children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent, guardian, or coach. We collect only the minimum information needed to run a child's training program (first name, age, position, and — if a parent or coach enables a supervised login — a login handle and PIN), we never display a child's information publicly, and we never sell personal information. We never collect a child's email, phone number, address, photo, or location. Parents may review or delete their child's data at any time by contacting support. How long we keep data
Nothing is kept indefinitely. Children's information — a child's profile (first name, age, position), login credentials, and training activity exist to run the child's training program and track season-over-season progress, and are deleted within 30 days of a parent's deletion request, removal of the player, or closure of the managing adult account. Records of parental consent are kept for 3 years after a child's login is removed, then deleted. If an account is unused for 24 months, we email a 30-day warning and then delete the account and all attached children's data.
Adult account data is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Feedback submissions and support threads are deleted after 24 months; analytics events are retained for 12 months; billing records are kept for 7 years as required for tax and audit, then deleted. Backups age out automatically on a short rolling window.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers needed to run the product: Supabase (our database and login system), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments — card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers), Anthropic (analyzes video titles and captions to tag drills — no child's identity is sent), and PostHog/Microsoft Clarity (analytics on our public marketing pages only — never inside the app, and never on any screen a child uses). We never sell personal information or share it with advertisers, and there is no ad tracking anywhere in the product.
Videos in your library play through the platform they came from: YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (no cookies until you press play), and clips saved from X, TikTok, or Facebook load that platform's standard embedded player when you open them — those platforms may set their own cookies, per their own privacy policies. Instagram clips play from our own storage.
How we use your data
To run the product: building schedules, tracking progress, and personalizing the video library. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Your choices
You can update profile details in Settings, and request account or data deletion at any time by emailing support@dreamshockey.com.
